Signification et histoire de Vincent
Du nom Romain Vincentius, qui devait partir Latin vincere "conquérir". Ce nom était populaire parmi les premiers chrétiens, et il a été porté par nombreux saints. Comme un nom anglais, Vincent a été en usage depuis le moyen âge, même si elle n'est devenue commune jusqu'au XIXe siècle. Porteurs célèbres incluent le prêtre français, Saint Vincent de Paul (1581-1660) et le peintre Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890).
